Each state has a different set of requirements to be considered eligible to take the state exam. In the state of Pennsylvania, it is required that 1250 hours are completed in a licensed cosmetology school.
At Jean Madeline Aveda Institute, both our full-time and part-time cosmetology programs meet the state requirement of 1250 hours of training. During our course, you can learn both theoretical and practical knowledge:
During your time here at Jean Madeline, the opportunity to fine-tune your skills will be available by working in our student salon*. Here, you can provide salon services to real guests. This hands-on time will be great preparation for working in a salon, if that is something you wish to pursue after licensure.
